Keeping Friends Close

As we gather, we’ll celebrate that we have a God who is worthy of our praise! He has loved us and given us a path to a life with him forever. Pastor Jim Renke will walk us through 1 Peter 4:7-11. As we live in the world as those in exile, we can cling to each other and keep one another moving forward on the path toward Christ.

Ladies … mark your calendars for our first Night of Encouragement, Wednesday,  June 5, 7-8 pm at Karen Flatebo’s home.  Information cards in the foyer.  Come and bring a friend.

April showers have come and May flowers have started to bloom, which means that the grass is growing.  So we are looking for volunteers to help cut the grass.  It is a great way to serve the church.  It  only takes about one hour to do the job. If you are interested in helping please contact Don Englund at donaldenglund@yahoo.com.  The more volunteers we have the fewer times each of us will have to mow the lawn!

And looking ahead:  Save the date, Sunday, June 23, VCL picnic  following the morning service!

Welcome Center enthusiast!  Should you care to contribute or add to our welcome center treats, Jan in the church office is coordinating our Sunday morning menu items. You can email Jan: office@evcl.org or call the church office to set up a Sunday for your contribution!
