A Different Answer
This morning, we first want to thank all our Moms for their part in making Christ known in our lives. And we will focus on worshiping our Lord, who gave them to us. Pastor Jim Renke will continue his series, “Life in a Strange Land.” 1 Peter 3:8-22 guides us in living a life that provides the world a different answer to the question of meaning and purpose. Let’s discover the life that creates the question.

Spiritual Disciplines. Exploring the meaning and practices of various disciplines which encourage and guide us in spiritual growth. Ed Manzo will be leading us next Sunday, May 19, as we look at generosity and stewardship.
VCL Youth– There is no youth group this week. See you next week, 05.19.
VCL Directory Pictures! Today and May 19 you will have an opportunity to get your family picture taken for Mom and for our new directory coming soon. We will have a corner of the great room set up for photos after the morning service. Come bless us with your best smile!
It’s a Celebration! Please join us as we celebrate Bruce Johnson’s 100th Birthday on Sunday, May 19! We’ll sing to him and enjoy birthday cake. Please bring a birthday card as well. We know he’ll appreciate all the well wishes!

April showers have come and May flowers have started to bloom, which means that the grass is growing. So we are looking for volunteers to help cut the grass. It is a great way to serve the church. It only takes about one hour to do the job. If you are interested in helping please contact Don Englund at donaldenglund@yahoo.com. The more volunteers we have the fewer times each of us will have to mow the lawn!
