Learning to Trust

This morning we are thankful for work of the Gideons. And we recognize God’s faithfulness as we pray for our graduates. Pastor Jim Renke will wrap up our journey in 1 Peter, by reflecting on how we can trust God to help us live faithfully as exiles in the world, as members of another kingdom, who are awaiting God’s final deliverance.

General Announcements

First Hour Classes:  This summer, various leaders will guide us in studying and reflecting on various “Issues in Contemporary Society.”  These topics are especially important at this time.  We look forward to growing together in the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. And we seek God’s wisdom as we learn to walk in obedience to Him.  Topics and schedule will be available next week.

April showers have come and May flowers have started to bloom, which means that the grass is growing.  So we are looking for volunteers to help cut the grass.  It is a great way to serve the church.  It  only takes about one hour to do the job. If you are interested in helping please contact Don Englund at donaldenglund@yahoo.com.  The more volunteers we have the fewer times each of us will have to mow the lawn!

And looking ahead:  Save the date, Sunday, June 23, VCL picnic  following the morning service!

Welcome Center enthusiast!  Should you care to contribute or add to our welcome center treats, Jan in the church office is coordinating our Sunday morning menu items. You can email Jan: office@evcl.org or call the church office to set up a Sunday for your contribution!
