Temptation to Run
This morning, in the presence of the Lord, we will find joy in singing and strength in prayer. We have the privilege of hearing from our missionaries, the Rutters. Pastor Jim will lead us through Luke 22:54-65. As we look at Peter’s denials, we will find wisdom and strength for facing the temptation to run.
General Announcements
First Hour Classes:
Sent: Living a Life That Invites Others to Jesus, by Heather and Ashley Holleman. Plan to join Carol Marshall & Miranda George as we read this book together and encourage one another in the journey of sharing our faith in Christ. Class members will read one chapter per week with discussion questions.
VCL Beliefs - This class will go through the doctrinal statement of VCL. Each week we will focus on a separate article of faith. This would also serve as the doctrine review for future membership. If you’re curious, confused, or committed, this may be a class that strengthens your understanding of God and VCL. The class is led by Pastor Jim and Elder Jim Stamoolis.
VCL Youth- Join us tonight, 03.10 at 6:00 pm as Miranda leads us in a lesson on resilience, looking at the life experiences of the Apostle Paul. There will be snacks and games following the devotional time.
VCL Youth Movie Night - Join us for a movie night on 3.24 at 6:00 pm in the Great Room. We will be watching the animated classic The Prince of Egypt. Popcorn, snacks and drinks will be provided.
Have you been baptized? We are making plans for baptisms at our Easter service March 31. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and you have not been baptized, this is your opportunity to obey the Lord in this key ordinance. Please email Pastor Jim at jimrenke@evcl.org if you are interested.

VCL Men : Please mark your calendar for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast on Saturday March 16 at 8:00 a.m.
Easter Plants: VCL will be decorated once again with flowers celebrating Easter. If you wish to participate by purchasing a plant, please fill out the form in the bulletin or contact the church office. Payment must accompany your order and all orders must be received by 3/17.
