Come to the Table
We have a special morning of worship. We’ll hear from our missionaries, we’ll welcome new members, we’ll share in community prayer and prepare for our time at the Lord’s Table. Pastor Jim Renke will guide us through John 6. We will remember that Christ is our bread of life. He gave himself and that sacrifice is what unites us with God and one another.
General Announcements
Hour in the Word 9 a.m. Sarah Esau will be here on August 13 and will share about her ministry in Saint-Nazaire, France with Alongside Ministries.
Ministry Opportunity: On Saturday, August 12th, we will again have an opportunity to help those in need with furniture deliveries and pickups. We meet at the Love INC warehouse at 8am-noon to load the trucks. Those who are able to, please contact Ernie Brandt at coachb1925@aol.com or at 224-217-1966. The warehouse is located at 339 Lakewood Ave. in Waukegan.
Middle School and High School Students are invited to dinner and hang out at the Renkes. Next Sunday, August 13th at 6pm. 112 Allentown Ct., Vernon Hills. Pls. RSVP if possible!
Ministry Team Leader Gathering-Saturday, August 19, 10am-noon. This is a morning of encouragement, prayer and discussion about doing ministry together at VCL. Our goal is to help your team envision their part in accomplishing God's mission for us as a church. We want to hear from each team about how God is using them and how we can support each other. Bring your calendars and ideas to share. Please RSVP on the Friendship Register or email the church office.

Children’s Ministries: Please note there will be no 9 a.m. classes for children for the month of August through Labor Day weekend in September. Classes resume September 10!
Two church work days: We are going to be doing some new fall plantings in our landscape around VCL. If you love to garden or just like getting dirty, we have a need for your help! Put Saturday September 16 and Saturday September 23 on your calendars. More details will follow.
