It’s In Our Walk
This Sunday we will enjoy a morning of worship through prayer, song and the Word. Pastor Jim Renke will lead us through Galatians 5:16-21. This is more than just another list of sins. This passage reminds us we are given the Spirit to lead us to a new life in God’s Kingdom. We can be encouraged that we have the Person who has the power to make our lives full of life.

Women's Connections: Saturday Gatherings
Ladies: Saturday September 9 (9:00 am-11:00 am) is coming soon! For the next nine months, at each of the Saturday Gatherings, we will be exploring, discovering and implementing COURAGEOUS LIVING, how we can live boldly for the Lord. On the 9th we will cast our vision of Courageous Living. We’ll especially look at extraordinary, bold giving by being the hands and feet of Jesus. Also, a special guest, Jana Patterson, missionary to The Slovak Republic, will share her story with us. Save the Date.
Calling all women of VCL!! Thursday Bible Study will begin on September 21. We’ll be digging into the book of Psalms; our guidebook is Open and Unafraid: The Psalms as a Guide to Life by David O. Taylor. We’re excited to learn and grow together as well as share fellowship and prayer. Virtual Prayer Gathering: This Tuesday night (8/15) at 7:00 pm, we’ll be gathering on Zoom for our prayer meeting. Ministry Team Leader Gathering-Saturday, August 19, 10am-noon. This is a morning of encouragement, prayer and discussion about doing ministry together at VCL. Our goal is to help your team envision their part in accomplishing God's mission for us as a church. We want to hear from each team about how God is using them and how we can support each other. Youth Group: We will be taking a break until the week of September 17th in order for the leaders to reorganize and prepare for the upcoming year. The date youth group begins will be announced as we get closer.
Children’s Ministries: Please note there will be no 9 a.m. classes for children for the month of August through Labor Day weekend in September. Classes resume September 10!
Two church work days: We will be doing some new fall plantings in our landscape around VCL. If you love to garden or just like getting dirty, we have a need for your help! Saturday September 16 and Saturday September 23 at 9 am. Sign up in the narthex—thank you!
