Our Relationship With Sin
This Sunday, we have the privilege of gathering around the Table to worship our Lord. Before we do, we’ll take time to exalt Him in worship and adoration. We will also celebrate the work He’s doing through Heidi Ramer. And we’ll hear from the Word, as Pastor Jim leads us into our new series, “I Can Relate.” We’ll consider how a desire to walk with God must change our relationship with sin.

First Hour Classes January 14:
Sent: Living a Life That Invites Others to Jesus, by Heather and Ashley Holleman. Plan to join Carol Marshall & Miranda George as we read this book together and encourage one another in the journey of sharing our faith in Christ. Books will be available in advance ($15) and class members will read one chapter per week with discussion questions.
VCL Beliefs - This class will go through the doctrinal statement of VCL. Each week we will focus on a separate article of faith. This would also serve as the doctrine review for future membership. If you’re curious, confused, or committed, this may be a class that strengthens your understanding of God and VCL. The class is led by Pastor Jim and Elder Jim Stamoolis.
VCL Youth- Join us Tonight, January 7th at 6 pm at the Wall’s home in Mundelein. Snacks and games to follow the devotional and prayer time.

Annual Congregational Meeting, Sunday, Jan. 21 at 6 pm. We will be voting on the budget for 2024, and to approve the following Officers: Elders—Jim Stamoolis (2nd 3 yr term) and Nels Flatebo (1st 3 yr term) Finance Committee—Treasurer: Kim Cordes (2nd 1 yr term), Financial Secretary: Rebekah Just (2nd 1 yr term).
Ministry Opportunity: On Saturday, 1/13, we will again have an opportunity to help those in need with furniture deliveries and pickups. We meet at the Love INC warehouse at 8am-noon to load the trucks. Those who are able to, please contact Ernie Brandt at coachb1925@aol.com or at 224-217-1966. The warehouse is located at 339 Lakewood Ave. in Waukegan.
