Finding Our Peace

This Sunday we’ll gather around the Lord’s Table for fellowship and worship. And Bryan Just will guide us through Psalm 46, as we consider the path to peace given us through Christ. We pray you’ll come and enter November by being with God’s people this Sunday.

General Announcements

First Hour:  We have two options for First Hour.  Jim Stamoolis is leading a class on PRAYER.  And Pastor Jim Renke is leading a class on EXPLORING GOD by Henry Blackaby. 

 

 Women’s Connections:  Our Thursday Bible Study has begun. We’re excited to learn and grow together as well as share fellowship and prayer. Please join us from 9:30-11:00 a.m.  We will be providing child care here for anyone needing it so please spread the word. The book for our Psalms study is Open and Unafraid: The Psalms as a Guide to Life by David O. Taylor.  If you have questions contact Carol Marshall, carolsings3@comcast.net or 847-274-9900.

  Ladies, you are invited to our November Saturday Gathering where we will be looking at the decision points in living COURAGEOUSLY.  Our group discussion will focus on how Biblical women, Esther, Abigail, Priscilla and the Hebrew midwives in Egypt used their empowered voice to change the story.  We will discover how our voice matters and carries weight.   Evy Stamoolis will be sharing a changing point in her life that impacted her heart and soul.  Don't MISS November 11, 9-11 a.m.  Light Refreshments will be served.

 Ministry Opportunity: On Saturday, November 11, we will again have an opportunity to help those in need with furniture deliveries and pickups. We meet at the Love INC warehouse at 8am-noon to load the trucks. Those who are able to,  please contact Ernie Brandt at  coachb1925@aol.com or at 224-217-1966. The warehouse is located at 339 Lakewood Ave. in Waukegan.

  VCL Youth- Join us Tonight, November 5th as Rebekah leads us in a devotional about loving our neighbors at the George home. Snacks and games to follow the devotional and prayer time. Reach out to Miranda at zmvanvli@tiu.edu for more information. 

 

Youth Families Service Event - Join us on 11.11 at 11:30 at Feed our Starving Children, where youth and their families will work as a team to provide food for hungry children. RSVP is required for this event. Email Miranda at zmvanvli@tiu.edu for info. 

 Virtual Prayer Gathering: This Tuesday night (11/7) at 7:00 pm, we’ll be gathering on Zoom for our prayer meeting. Come join us for a meaningful time of prayer—all from the comfort of your own living room. Zoom details to follow via email.  College & Careers Friendsgiving Potluck: Young adults, you are invited to a Friendsgiving Potluck on Nov 19th after church in the Great Room for food, games, and fellowship!
