Opportunities to Serve Lincolnshire and Beyond In COVID-19

Opportunities to Serve…

Request for Assistance from Vernon Township
• The request is for sewn cloth face coverings
o This is a volunteer opportunity to make and donate masks
• The masks will be distributed by community organizations to vulnerable residents
• This is presented as an urgent need
• Those who are willing to make and donate masks can find details on the United Way of Lake County’s COVID-19 Volunteer Opportunities page. Instructions for making cloth masks are also available on the Health Department and CDC websites
• This being a request made by an email to probably the entire community it is not a specific request to the church. However, if there are people within the church who could make and donate these masks it would show the community that we care for those around us.
• For more information contact the United Way of Lake County 847.775.1000

Request for needs from Love INC

Linen needs: Our churches have cautiously restarted furniture deliveries, focusing on beds. This has wiped out our stock of bedding – twin & full sized, sheet sets & blankets/comforters. We have a waitlist for over 30 full-sized beds and over 50 twin beds. Ideally, our churches deliver a complete set of linens with each bed. Contact us to coordinate a drop-off or to get a shipping address.

Loved Twice servants: Curb-side service is up & running! Servants have also been busy cleaning, rearranging, and prepping the store for full re-open. When the state gives the green light, we will have many new openings for sales ministers! We expect a number of our current volunteers won’t return right away, as they are in the ‘at-risk’ population.  We are looking for loving hearts to join us on a regular basis in this unique ministry opportunity!
