One of the privileges of the Missions team at VCL is the identification of ways we can support evangelistic endeavors that seek to fulfill the Great Commis-sion. In keeping with this, we are glad to have been able to give a gift of $1000 to the Gustine family as they set off on a new direction in their ministry.

Adam and his wife Ann were part of the congregation at VCL from 2001 to 2008, and following Adam’s graduation from Trinity, they moved to New York City where Adam was the Senior Pastor of First Evangelical Free Church in Brooklyn. Having served in NY for 4 years, the Gustine’s began to

discern the Lord calling them to a new type of ministry and so Adam, Ann and their two young boys are following the Lord’s leading and have begun working with an organization called Fresh Expressions. Fresh Expressions seeks to reach people that are not yet part of any church by being missional, incar-national, discipling and ecclesial. The Gustine’s will be based in South Bend, Indiana, and Adam will serve as a regional coordinator, networker and equipper, running training events, facilitating gatherings, and coming alongside churches that are looking to deepen their engagement with their communities and reach out to those who see no need for the church.

We are excited for the Gustine’s as they embark on this new chapter of their lives, and we are glad to be able to help them in this way. If you are interested in finding out more about their ministry, you can contact Adam at adam.gustine@yahoo.com.
