We had a great time on our winter retreat to Fort Wilderness, Wisconsin. In between broomball tournaments, horse rides, tubing and cross-country skiing, our youth group talked about what it means to work towards wellness as believers in Jesus. We looked at John 5 and Jesus’ odd question to the paralyzed man, “Do you want to get well?”. We saw that Jesus is greater than our sin, our weakness, our opponents and our fears. We saw that trusting in Jesus is the only way to true wholeness. And we saw that we have to be willing to trust and desire wholeness and growth—and not settle for our broken and sinful patterns of life. This has become a great tradition for our youth group. We look forward to going back next year.
